Overview
Matanx BV operates lightweight electric micro-vehicles built from sustainable hemp-fiber composite. Our vehicles perform urban deliveries, street-level air quality sensing (PM2.5, PM10), and display Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) partner media.
Our systems use strict Privacy by Design principles under Article 25 of the EU GDPR.
Local Edge-AI Data Destruction (The 40-Millisecond Loop)
Our vehicles carry external optical sensors used exclusively for real-time crowd safety counting and display engagement tracking. The software pipeline is hardcoded to ensure that no personal data or biometric files are ever created, stored, or transmitted.
The system operates via a continuous, destructive processing loop:
- Volatile Memory Only: The data stream from the sensors is loaded strictly into the local computer's volatile operational memory (RAM).
- 40-Millisecond Purge: The processing script executes a destructive command that completely wipes the raw image frames every 40 milliseconds.
- Full Anonymization: Human shapes are instantly turned into mathematical, non-identifiable 3D bounding boxes. The software tracks individuals solely as anonymous objects (Class: Pedestrian).
- Zero Biometrics: The system completely lacks code or modules for facial recognition, facial landmark mapping, age/gender estimation, or behavioral tracking.
Non-Personal Data (NPD) Payload
Because the raw imagery is destroyed locally on the vehicle hardware prior to any logging, no video files or photos ever exist on our drives or servers. The only data transmitted from the vehicle consists of plain alphanumeric text strings (pure statistics: Vehicle ID, Timestamp, Location, and Crowd Count). This is classified as Non-Personal Data (NPD) under EU law and is fully exempt from GDPR restrictions.
